1928
Founding of NID'OR

Marcel Maceron, born in the Cher département of France (18) in 1907, starts up a woollen mattress reconditioning business in Paris.
1936
The company moves to larger premises. Marcel Maceron goes on to manufacture and sell new mattresses and spring-mattresses to professionals in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine. Mobilisation orders force him to close his business.
1940
He resumes his business amidst all the difficulties of the times.
1947
His son, Claude Maceron, enters the company at the age of 14 and gradually begins to take over the running from 1954 upon his return from military service.
1956
Introduces sprung mattresses into the NID'OR range alongside traditional woollen mattresses.
1960-1987
1960
Larger premises, again located in Paris, enable Claude Maceron to extend the NID'OR range to include latex and foam mattresses.

1987
Claude Maceron leaves Paris to set up business in Asnières-sur-Oise (95), current home of the NID'OR production site.
1988
The third generation of the family takes over.
Claude Maceron consigns the running of NID'OR to his son, Frédéric, who injects new dynamism into the business by updating the production tool, now one of the most efficient in operation.
1989
The first comparative test is conducted on bedding by the magazine "50 Millions de Consommateurs (50 Million Consumers) in which a NID'OR product is successfully put to the test ("Chantilly" wins 3rd place).
1993
A new comparative bedding test is carried out with "Dorsamatic" coming out top of the league, voted the favourite choice of "50 Million de Consommateurs" having shown not one drawback.
Following this consumer test, the company decides to set up business in the provinces by gradually creating new sales structures in order to meet demand. Up until the end of 1993, NID'OR only distributed its products to Paris and the suburbs, concentrating its regional operations on the production site.
1997
A new comparative test strengthens the results of previous ones and once again promotes the quality of NID'OR products, with "Mercury" achieving second place.
1999
Use of a new material. "Eucatherm C" is a shape-memory foam offering unparalleled comfort. The new "cellular" mattress range is launched …
2001
NID'OR signs a co-operation agreement with OUTLAST Technologies in the US and subsequently decides to use temperature regulation in its ticking. A revolution in the field of bedding.

Today, the adventure continues for this still independent family-run company in pursuit of technological innovation and ever mindful of preserving its skills and its traditions.
